Arlington Heights Dryden Ave Burglary Suspect Arrested After 6-Month Investigation

In March 2023, the Arlington Heights Police Department received a report of a residential burglary. Forced entry was made to a house in the block of 1400 North Dryden Avenue. The offender stole valuable possessions belonging to the homeowners and caused substantial damage to their house.




Responding Patrol Officers conducted a thorough preliminary investigation at the victim’s home. The case was assigned to detectives in the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Eventually, significant leads developed that provided sufficient evidence identifying the offender, Rengay Frazier, age 51, of Algonquin, Illinois in McHenry County. Rengay Frazier, of the block of 1100 Greenridge avenue in Algonquin Illinois was subsequently arrested on September 19, 2023. Detectives reviewed the facts of the case with prosecutors from the Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney’s Office and the offender was charged with one count of Residential Burglary 720 ILCS 5/19-3. Rengay Frazier is being held without bond in Cook County Jail, 2700 South California Avenue, Cook County Department of Corrections, DIV5-1H-8-1.

Rengay Frazier’s next court date is Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 108, at the 3rd Municipal District Cook County Courthouse in Rolling Meadows.
